Teacher’s Day Celebration at Apeejay Stya University

On September 5, 2024, Apeejay Stya University celebrated Teacher’s Day with a vibrant and engaging event in the Multi-Purpose Hall. Coordinated by Dr. Vijay Kumar and Dr. Afia Jamal, the event honored the university’s faculty with a blend of cultural performances, fun activities, and inspiring messages from the university leadership. The program began with a warm welcome, including the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the university dignitaries, and an inspiring speech by Registrar Prof. Chetan Chaudhary, who also read a message from the Chancellor, Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia. Although Vice Chancellor Prof. Vijay Vir Singh could not attend, he shared a heartfelt message, emphasizing the importance of teachers in shaping future generations.

The event featured a variety of performances, including a melodious welcome song, a heartfelt poetry recitation, and lively dance numbers by students from the School of Education and the School of Biosciences. Teachers participated in fun activities like musical chairs and a ramp walk, highlighting their personalities beyond the classroom. The Thespian Club’s skit on educational challenges, individual dance performances, and a captivating singing session added artistic flair to the celebration. The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, the presentation of a creative Canvas Collage, and a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Vijay Kumar, leaving the faculty feeling appreciated and celebrated.
