Dr. Stya Paul Lecture: A Liberal Arts Programme Initiative

Gurgaon, Feb. 3, 2017: Prof. Salil Misra from Ambedkar University, Delhi, delivered the 1st Dr Stya Paul Lecture, a Liberal Arts programme initiative, titled ‘Echoes from Partition: 70 Years of Indian Democracy’. He dissected various factors that prepared the ground for partition, especially different imaginations of a nation, and elaborated the way the remnants of partition continue to shape the Indian democracy. Dr. S.K. Salwan, Vice-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, presided over the event and shared his own experiences of partition.
