Mr. Sham S. Bali is a faculty member at the School of Behavioural Sciences, Apeejay Stya University, Sohna, and an experienced counselling psychologist and psychotherapist. He holds an M.A. in Psychology, PG Diploma in Counselling Psychology, MBA (Organizational Behaviour), B.Ed., and a Diploma in Hindu Theology, along with advanced training in trauma and disaster psychology from Japan.
He specializes in trauma-informed therapy, including EMDR, CBT, DBT, hypnotherapy, and couple and family counselling. His work integrates evidence-based psychological approaches with Indian philosophical traditions, promoting holistic mental well-being. He is actively involved in training future counselling psychologists, focusing on applied skills, ethics, and therapeutic practice.
With over three decades of professional experience, including senior leadership roles in multinational organizations, he brings valuable insights into organizational behavior, resilience, and mental health in high-stress environments.
Mr. Bali is also an author who has written books on Indian philosophy and संस्कार, and has published articles linking psychology with Indian Knowledge Systems. At the School of Behavioural Sciences, he contributes to teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, and provides counselling support to students and the community.
