Dr. Vijay Kumar

Dr. Vijay Kumar is serving as Associate Professor in the School of Education, Apeejay Stya University (ASU). He is also the Programme Coordinator for NSS at ASU, Programme In-charge of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Coordinator of IQAC Cell as well as NAAC. Having completed his schooling from Delhi, he did his M.Com in Business Management, M.Ed., M.Phil (Education) and Ph.D. in Educational Studies from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has qualified NET in Education too. He specialises in the Education of Deprived Sections of the Society, Sociology of Education, Teaching of Commerce (Accountancy and Business Studies), Educational Administration, Planning & Organisation, and Holistic Education through campus-community engagement. He is expert in integration of ICT in educational processes and is a recipient of the ‘National Award for Best ICT Integration’ by Intel Incorporation during his B.Ed and also the ‘Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert Award’ in 2016 & 2017. In 2019, he was awarded by Sri Aurbindo Society, New Delhi, for promoting and using ‘Zero Investments Iniiatives in Education’ processes. He has presented papers in many national & international conferences and seminars and has authored a book on OBCs along with the research papers published in national and international journals. He has developed manuals and modules for PGT Commerce of Delhi Government through SCERT Delhi. He is in the team of expert educationists developing national resources in the field of education at NRCE, NIEPA/NUEPA, New Delhi. He has been a resource person in training programmes of SCERT Delhi, SCERT Haryana, MG NCRE and in many other teacher education institutions.
