Prof. (Dr.) Parikshit Vasisht is a distinguished academician, researcher, administrator, and higher education strategist with over 24 years of experience in academics, research, institutional governance, accreditation, and quality assurance. A Ph.D. holder in Engineering and an alumnus of BIT, he has made significant contributions in curriculum development, academic planning and leadership, evaluation and examination management, and institutional development aligned with NEP 2020, UGC and NCrF frameworks.
His research expertise includes IoT, Microwave Imaging, Antenna Design, Wireless Communications, and Biomedical Sensing. He has published numerous high-quality research papers in SCI and Scopus-indexed journals and conferences, along with 12 patents in emerging technological domains.
Prof. Vasisht has successfully guided multiple MTech. and Ph.D. scholars and is widely recognized for promoting research excellence, innovation, and outcome-based education. He has served in several key academic leadership roles including HOD – EECE, HOD SoET, Director- IQAC, Controller of Examinations (COE), NEP 2020 Coordinator, and Nodal Officer for ABC Cell, NEEV Portal Evaluation, NIRF Rankings, and accreditation processes.
Under his leadership as Director-IQAC, the university achieved NAAC “A” Grade accreditation in its first cycle along with important recognitions such as 12(B) status and regulatory compliances. As Associate Dean Academics, he played a significant role in designing UG and PG curricula in accordance with NEP 2020, UGC-CCF, and NCrF guidelines, including academic planning, student registration systems, and multidisciplinary course structures.
