Dr. Ananda Padhan is a Professor in the School of Education at Apeejay Stya University. He is a first batch qualifier of NET in Education, conducted by UGC in 1985 and completed his Ph.D from Nagpur University availing fulltime UGC fellowship. He has over 24 years of experience in the field of Academics – research, teaching and training, including 6 years of teaching experience abroad in African countries of Ethiopia and Eritrea.

He has previously worked in premier national institutions in India such as NCERT, NUEPA and IGNOU in the areas of research and training. He specialises in the area of curriculum and instruction, research methods & educational technology, and has also worked extensively in the area of curriculum development for teacher education in India and abroad. He is a lifetime member of the All India Association of Educational Research & Indian Association of Teacher Educators, and the Founding Life Member of the Learning Community & Global Educational Research Association.

He has to his credit 4 books and 27 publications in various journals and periodicals. He has attended 28 national and international conferences/seminars as a participant, paper presenter and resource person. He has also been a consultant to the Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT) program of the National Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, New Delhi for the Pedagogy course. He received the Shiksha Rattan Award from the India International Friendship Society, New Delhi in 2012 for his distinguished work in the field of teaching and research.
