“I come from the North-Eastern state of India, Manipur. But I must say that I felt at home throughout my stay at the Apeejay Stya University during my stay at the ASU. I was so pleased when they arranged my internship with All India Radio in my hometown Imphal at my request, as I wanted to spend time with my family during the summer holidays. For me, the most exciting moment was the time when I was able to interview India’s Minister of State for Home Affairs, Mr. Kiren Rijiju for ASU’s Radio Styavani. My parents are so proud of me.”
Lucknow to Gurgaon on a learning curve, that’s my story in a nutshell. After completing my BJMC in the capital of UP, I was looking for an excellent MA programme in journalism and mass communication. Lucky to have found place in SJMC, ASU, where emphasis is on hands-on-job training. As Mr. Narendra Modi was going to win an absolute majority, I was covering his associate Amit Shah’s press conference in New Delhi while shadowing a senior correspondent of the Daily DNA. It was all arranged by my faculty in-charge.
