Food Fest by SJMC Students

Gurugram, Feb. 23, 2018: The PR and Event Management students of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Apeejay Stya University (ASU) organised a Food Fest 'Fist of Fusion', wherein the idea was to cook and sell the food.

The scrumptious menu comprising African Fried Rice, Tropical Indian Chaat, Chicken & Cheese Maggi, Devils Eggs, Chicken Salami Sandwich, Paneer Toast, the delectable Bengali sweet 'Lobongo Lathika', and a Mauritian dessert dish was enjoyed by students and faculty members from across the departments at ASU.

Visit to All India Radio & IAWRT Film Festival

New Delhi, March 6, 2018: The II year students of BJMC visited the All India Radio HQ in New Delhi along with the 14th International Association for Women in Radio and Television (IAWRT) Film Festival held at the India International Centre, New Delhi. They saw some award winning films along with understanding the nuances of radio production.

Visit to The Quint

Noida, April 6, 2018: Students of II & III year – Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication (BJMC) visited The Quint's office in Noida. The industrial visit was packed with three sessions and a tour round the office.

The first session was with Aishwarya Iyer, Reporter at The Quint. She introduced the students to the whole new concept of Data Journalism. The next session was with Jaskirat Singh Bawa, Author at The Quint. He mainly focussed on the rise of Online Journalism and the upper hand it has over mainstream journalism. The next session was an interesting one with Aaqib Raza Khan, Multimedia Producer at The Quint. He brought to the students the wider angle of Interactive Journalism. He also heads the Quint Lab, wherein they research on various methods to make things more interactive online.
