Professor & Dean
Dr Anupama Diwan is presently working as a Professor and Dean at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Apeejay Stya University. She has research and teaching experience of over 24 years. She has supervised over 50 students and 10 PhD scholars for their research dissertations. Her primary areas of research include Novel Drug Delivery Systems, Pharmacokinetics, Nanotechnology, Industrial Pharmacy, Quality Assurance, Bioavailability Enhancement and Modified Transdermal Formulations.
Dr Diwan has authored six books and published over 100 research, review and posters in various national and international journals. She has presented scientific deliberations in over 30 seminars and conferences at the national level. She has been awarded ‘Best Technical Expert’ in 2016 and ‘SPER-WF Innovative Researcher Award’ in 2015. Recently, she has been awarded ‘Bharat Excellence Award’ by Former Governor of Sikkim in 2019, ‘International Women of the Year Award’ for her outstanding achievements and distinguished services to the nation by Friendship Forum, New Delhi, in 2019 and ‘International Women of Courage Award’ by All India Council of Human Rights, Liberties & Social Justice, in 2019. She has been invited as Guest Lecturer at many national and international forums.
Dr Diwan is the Chairperson of the Anti-Ragging Committee and other committees at the University. She has organised over 10 seminars, conferences and conventions from time to time. She is a Life Member of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Indian Pharmacist Graduate Association, Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India & Indian Hospital Pharmacist Association and Member, Academic Council & Board of Studies.
Dr D.K. Majumdar is a retired professor from the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Research, New Delhi. He has over 41 years of experience in research and teaching. He has served at senior positions in leading companies like Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
PhD (Pharmaceutical Sciences/Pharma Chemistry)
Dr Mohini Kalra is presently working at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Apeejay Stya University, as an Assistant Professor. Her main research areas of interest include stress degradation studies of drug molecules & their combinations and drug impurity profiling. She has hands-on experience about various advanced instrumental techniques. She has more than 15 years of experience in teaching in various Pharmacy institutions. She has collaborated with National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali and Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ghaziabad.
PhD (Pharmacoinformatics/ Pharma Chemistry)
Dr Rani Mansuri is working as an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Apeejay Stya University (ASU). She has done her Master’s and PhD in Pharmacoinformatics from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER). She has expertise in PCR, DNA Isolation, Cloning, Expression & Purification, Rational Drug Designing, Dynamic Simulation and QSAR Studies. She has proficient knowledge of Computational Software. She has a research and academic experience of about 7 years. Dr Mansuri has more than 15 publications in journals of repute with high impact factor, like Antimicrobial Agents & Chemotherapy and Current Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, etc. She has attended and presented oral/poster presentations in various international/national conferences.
Mr Manoj Sharma is working as an Assistant Professor in the Pharmacognosy Department, at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, ASU. Mr Sharma has completed his B. Pharm. from the reputed Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal University, Karnataka, in the year 2012. He completed M.S. (Pharm.) from the prestigious National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Mohali, Punjab, in 2014. He worked in CSIR - CIMAP and Innodata India Pvt. Ltd., having industrial research and academic experience of 5 years.
PhD (Medicinal Chemistry)
Dr Deepika Kathuria is currently working as an Assistant Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Apeejay Stya University. Her research work during Ph.D includes Organic Synthesis, Material Chemistry and Computational Chemistry. She has been awarded with scholarship from DST-INSPIRE, India, for the period of 2015-2020. During her PhD, she has been selected in DST-DAAD Exchange Program and visited University of Hohenheim, Germany. She has also been awarded with Newton Bhabha PhD Placement Program, DST, India and British Council, U.K. During her Masters, she has been awarded with Bristol Mayer Squibb Fellowship. She has 10 publications in peer reviewed journals of high impact factor.
Dr Khushboo Saxena is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Apeejay Stya University. Her expertise includes ‘Phytochemical and Pharmacological Evaluation of Traditional Drugs’. She has more than 3 years of teaching experience in prestigious colleges. She has 6 publications in peer reviewed journals of high impact factor. She has also presented many posters in national and international conferences.
PhD (Medicinal Chemistry/Pharma Chemistry)
Dr Narender Yadav is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Apeejay Stya University. He has done PhD and MS (Pharm.) in Medicinal Chemistry from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), SAS Nagar. He has 1.5 years of experience in Intellectual Property Right (IPR) at Stellarix Consultancy Services, Jaipur. He has appx. 6 years of research experience in Synthetic Carbohydrate Chemistry. He has published several research papers in peer reviewed journals like Carbohydrate Research, RSC Advances and Trends in Carbohydrate Research.
M. Pharm (Medicinal Chemistry/Pharma Chemistry)
Mrs Shabnam has a Master’s degree in Pharmacy and has worked in various projects in L.V. Life Sciences at B. Pharmacy level. She has completed M. Pharmacy project from Ranbaxy Research Labs, Gurugram, and has also worked there in the Impurity Profiling Department. For two years, Ms Shabnam has worked as a Team Leader (Medical Writer) in Farma Glow Pharmaceuticals. She has also worked as an Assistant Professor in Ram Gopal College of Pharmacy for a year. Mrs Shabnam has to her credit two research articles and review articles published in international journals.
M.S. (Pharmaceutics), PhD (Pursuing)
Mrs Amisha Vyas did her Post Graduation from University of Greenwich, U.K., in Pharmaceutical Science. She possesses experience, both in industry as well as in the educational fields. Her research area is NDDS, its formulation and development. She also has research publications in this area.
M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics)
Ms Poonam Verma is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Apeejay Stya University. She has done her Post Graduation in M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics) from BBDNITM, Lucknow, in 2012. She has been associated with Academics from the last 5 years. She has a book chapter on SNEDDS in Nanomedicine and Tissue Engineering published in 2016 and several review & research publications to her credit. Ms Poonam is also awarded with ‘Best Teachers Award’ in 2016 and ‘Best Project Based Learning Award’ in 2018, by ITM University, Gwalior.
M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics)
Mr Namdev Kachare has teaching and research experience of over 4 years. He is specialized in M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics) from the University Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, RTM Nagpur University, Maharashtra. His industrial experience includes Sun Pharma, Baroda, Gujarat. His areas of interest include regulatory affairs, analytical method development, pharmaceutical quality assurance and quality control.
M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)
Mr Rahul S. Rathore has 6 years Pharmaceutical Research and Development experience in the field of Chemical Research at Brawn Laboratories Ltd., Mankind Pharma Ltd. R&D Centre, Gurugram and Saurav Chemicals Ltd., Chandigarh. His core research areas include Chemical Process Development and Technology Transfer to Plant Scale as well as API Impurities Synthesis.
M. Pharm (Pharmacology)
Ms Lopamudra Roy is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Apeejay Stya University. She has done her Post Graduation in M. Pharm (Pharmacology) from WBUT, West Bengal, in 2016. Her main research areas of interest include Cancer Research on EAC Cell Lines and Human Blood Cells. Her work has been published in peer reviewed journals. She has published 4 international papers and attended many international conferences. She has been associated with Academics from the last 3 years.
