Gurugram, May 20, 2023:The School of Legal Studies (SOLS), Apeejay Stya University (ASU) recently organised a one-day National E-Seminar on “Contemporary Indian Laws: Issues and Challenges. Eminent personalities from various spheres of the legal profession attended the seminar and shared their perspective and expertise on different legal issues. It aimed to identify the provisions or aspects of Indian Criminal Laws which require reform and devise suitable suggestions. The seminar began with the welcome address by Dr Archana Vashishth, Associate Professor & Head of Department, SOLS, Apeejay Stya University and inaugural address by Prof Raj. S. Dhankar, Vice-Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University.
The Guest Speakers who gave their valuable insights on the topic were Prof (Dr) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Director of Indian Law Institute, Delhi and Adv. S.P. Jain, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court who spoke on the topic ‘Domestic Violence’ and Dr Rajesh Hooda, Faculty Dept. of Laws, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Sonipat, Haryana.
