Gurugram, April 26, 2023: The School of Legal studies and School of Biosciences of Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram recently organised a web symposium on World Intellectual Property Day on theme: "Women and IP: Accelerating Innovation and Creativity”. The guest speakers were Mr Vivek Singh, IP Attorney & Head Prosecution Practice Sagacious IP, Ms Pearl Sobti, Director IP, Multiplier and Dr Parikshit Sirohi, Associate Professor Law Centre 2, Delhi University.
The speakers talked about the importance of IP awareness, women in science and their contribution towards mankind and the traditional knowledge of IP & women’s contribution. IP awareness is essential for promoting innovation and creativity and protecting the rights of creators and innovators. By educating individuals and businesses about the importance of IP protection, we can create a culture that values innovation and creativity and recognises the importance of protecting the fruits of our intellectual labour. The symposium was truly informative and interactive as well.
