Ghaziabad, September 27, 2019: The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Apeejay Stya University had organised one day visit to the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), an autonomous institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, under the direction of the School’s Dean, Dr Anupama Diwan accompanied by faculty members, Mr Manoj, Ms Shabnam and Dr Rani Mansuri.

The visit aimed to make the students aware with the working of IPC to set standards of drugs in the country and also to get them to familiarize with the latest modern analytical equipment. The participants were 75 in number which includes M. Pharm and B. Pharm students.

An introductory session to all the participants about the working standards of IPC was also given by Senior Scientist, Dr K.K. Singh.

The experts of analytical research and development division demonstrated the working of sophisticated analytical instruments like FTIR, HPLC, GC, DSC, NMR and AAS. Students also visited other divisions like Monographs Development Division, Reference Standards Development Division, Quality Assurance Division, Pharmacovigilance Division, Biologics & Microbiology Division and the Library.
