Uttarakhand, May 2012: One of Apeejay Stya University’s in-house projects included camping in Joshimath to generate data on Iodine deficiency and reproductive health disorders of rural women. The camp was organised in association with doctors and health workers authorised by Chief Medical Officer, Govt. Hospital, Joshimath.

The prime objectives of the Camp included determining the status of iodine deficiency and reproductive disorders in women of the mountainous region (Joshimath), and the early detection of cervical cancer using DNA markers.
