Gurgaon, September 24, 2013: The Apeejay Innovation Society recently organised an Innovation Exhibition in the university’s hostel. The projects on display were made by the students themselves and the projects were all innovation-centric. The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Prof. Joel Rodney, Dean-Academics, Apeejay Stya University, who was very much amazed by the creativity of the students.
The projects ranged from computer programmes, electronic gadgets, machine models to even artwork. Under innovation, various product designs were also shown along with their feasibility in the real world. The students displayed true innovation and also showcased their ability to move from ideation to implementation.
One of the projects that were showcased included a programmed electronic LED fan that displayed ‘APEEJAY STYA UNIVERSITY’ when it was switched on. Another project was a character based MAZE that was programmed in C++ using the concept of arrays. A model of a catapult and a mechanical stamping press were few of the projects displayed by the mechanical engineers.
Apeejay Innovation Society at Apeejay Stya University aims to achieve better innovative environment in the university, developing a new culture, inspiring students towards innovation, promoting out-of-the-box thinking, bridging the gap between creativity and feasibility, among other things.
