Mr.Ish Bali
Coordinator - Moot Court

Mr Ish Bali is heading the Moot Court and Legal Aid Cell in Apeejay Stya University. Before joining Apeejay, he was involved in the Legal functions for India and South West Asia Business Unit (INSWA BU). He was responsible for providing legal support to the business functions of the INSWA BU on various aspects of law. He has also been responsible for the Legal & Compliance function of AIG Consumer Finance business entities in India. He has provided legal services (both advisory and litigation) to the Business – on both, proactive & reactive basis in a timely and cost-effective manner.

He has handled high ticket Litigation (including Arbitrations) and corporate advisory assignments including but not limited to acquisition of land, finalization of bid & tender documents, negotiation and finalisation of leases, licenses, etc. This includes due diligence(s) of land and buildings for the commercial business of DLF on a pan India basis. The work included interaction with various statutory authorities, municipal bodies for concluding various agreements/JVs for the acquisition of land and business development. He was also advising the DLF Metro/Utilities/Services team on various aspects of Law.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Shobhna Jeet is a qualified law professional, completed her Ph.D. on the topic – ‘Law Relating to Cyber Terrorism a Comparative Study of Existing Laws at National and International Level’ from Mody University of Science & Technology. Shobhna is also UGC NET qualified. She completed her LLM from the University of Bikaner and LLB from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rajasthan. Dr. Shobhna over the years has presented, published more than 18 research papers in renowned journals and periodicals. She is member of the Editorial Board Online Law Journal Law Mantra. Additionally, she has also presented more than 10 papers on various contemporary legal issues in national and international conferences and seminars. Shobhna has also supervised 6 LLM students in their dissertation while she was working with the Central University of Haryana. Dr. Shobhna has also handled various administration assignments. Showcasing her versatile and multifaceted personality, Dr. Shobhna has directed various acts on multiple occasions and has contributed to various social activities.

Assistant Professor

Mr. Anuranjan Sharma is LL.M. and NET qualified. His field of specialization is Criminal Law and Corporate Law. Hailing from a reputed lawyer’s family, he carries with himself a rich and varied experience of legal practice at all levels, from the District to the Apex Court. He was enrolled as a member of the Bar Association of Allahabad High Court, prior to his joining teaching services. He was actively involved in cases relating to civil, criminal, banking and service matters, etc. He has also worked for corporate law firms and NGOs.

Mr. Sharma’s teaching interest started with an award from Honorable Justice Raveendran of the Supreme Court of India, for teaching environment law to a class consisting of senior bureaucrats and judges. He has had a stint at the Jagran School of Law, Zee Himgiri University and B.S.A Group of Institutions before joining the School of Legal Studies at Apeejay Stya University.

He is an academic with a keen interest in research. He has to his credit a number of research papers which have been published in national and international journals. His research papers on sedition law, terrorism and powers of police have been widely acknowledged and acclaimed. He has been active in holding and attending national and international seminars. His unique style of teaching involves referring to leading cases before teaching laws pertaining to them and venturing into forays of new legislation.

Neha Singh
Assistant Professor

Neha Singh is working as an Assistant Professor and her field of specialization is Business Laws. She is LLM, UGC NET qualified and is also pursuing Ph.D. from Sharda University. She has done a Diploma in Corporate Law from the Asian School of Cyber Law, Pune.

She has 8 research publications and 17 paper presentations to her credit. She has co-authored one book as well as contributed chapters in different books. She has also written various articles for the College newspaper.

Neha has coordinated various workshops and organised various national and international seminars and conferences. She has also conducted various legal aid programmes in rural areas.

Ms. Ashu Choudhary has obtained B.A.LL.B degree from Mody Institute of Education and Research, Sikar, Rajasthan (2014). She has done LL.M (Constitutional Law) from Amity University, Noida (2016). She has attended many seminars/ conferences. She had also coordinated many moot court competitions during her graduation and post-graduation programme. Ms. Choudhary had successfully qualified the All India Bar Council Examination and enrolled as an Advocate in 2016. She is also an active member of a non-governmental organisation named ‘UMEED (A DROP OF HOPE)’ which works for the welfare of women and children.

Mr Kuldeep Yadav is Legal Counsel with more than five years of experience with Law firms in handling matters in various courts/tribunals/forums/arbitration. Mr Yadav completed LLM in the year 2011 from Agra University and enrolled as an advocate in the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2010. He continued to practice in fields like matrimonial disputes; civil, criminal, constitutional & corporate (company law, taxation law & labour law, etc.).

Mr Yadav has independently handled litigation with expertise in drafting and legal research. He has negotiated complex legal contracts, for and on behalf of the clients of the firms, opining management on issues of vital interest concerning law qua rights and obligations and interpreting contractual terms for them. He is an expert in drafting of various petitions including SLP, Writs, Winding-Up Petition, Quashing Petition, notices, reply to notices, complaints under Section 138 of N.I. Act, MACT Claims, criminal complaints, consumer complaints, plaints, written statements, rejoinders in summary suits, eviction suits, injunction suits, partition suits, and other pleadings and other such applications.

Syed. Mohd. Shah Nawaz

Mr S.M. Shah Nawaz completed his LLM from Indian Law Institute with specialization in IPR and Corporate Law. He is also UGC NET qualified and has joined the university as a visiting faculty. He completed his graduation in B.Sc. Botany (H) from Delhi University and LLB from M.D. University, Rohtak. He carries with himself a rich experience of legal practice in the areas relating to civil, criminal, matrimonial, etc. He is also empanelled as an advocate for Haryana Waqf Board. He has presented and submitted research papers on various contemporary legal issues in national & international conferences and seminars. He is a multifaceted personality and is an office bearer of many social organizations/NGOs, has organised various cultural & social programmes and is actively involved for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society.

Neetishri Sharma

Neetishri Sharma is working as an assistant professor with more than two years of teaching experience and also pursuing Ph.D. from the University of Lucknow.Neetishri is UGC NET qualified and has obtained degree of LL.M. with two gold medals from the University of Lucknow. Her specialisation area is Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. She has done diploma in ‘Economic, Social and Developmental Rights’, organised by the Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal in collaboration with SAARC. She has also published and presented a number of research papers in national journals.
