Gurugram, April 12, 2018: Apeejay Stya University (ASU) organised a Technical Fest (Techshield) – ELAAN 2K18, on 12th April 2018, at the sprawling ASU Campus. It was inaugurated by Dr. S.K. Salwan, Vice-Chancellor of ASU. Prof. R.P. Hooda from the Apeejay Education Society who is also an Emeritus Professor at the Apeejay School of Management was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Dr. D.N. Bajpai, Director at the Apeejay Institute of Technology, Greater Noida also attended the event as a distinguished Guest.

The inauguration ceremony commenced with the Saraswati Vandana & lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and other guests, deans & advisors. Hon. Vice Chancellor delivered the Welcome Address as he welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, faculties and students. Dr. Salwan spoke about the relation between Nature and Science and how certain acts of Science & Nature are beyond the understanding of humanity. He quoted few eminent scientists and poets stressing upon the fact that Nature & Science go hand in hand and support each other.  He also pressed upon the fact that we as human beings should be watchful toward the Nature’s activities around us.  Finally, he declared the Technical Fest – ELAAN2K18 open. Prof. Dr. R.P. Hooda addressed the audience. He spoke of his journey in life including the time spent with Apeejay and also appreciated about the Liberal Arts Concept at ASU, among other things.

Events and activities organised by each school included Lan Gaming - Zenith, Gaming Event- Hunt-em-up, Pick & Design, Pharma Quiz, Open Air Painting Competition, Best out-of-waste Model United Nations, Pick & Design, E-minute Paper and Rangoli Competition.

The students of ASU showed keen interest and participated in large numbers with great enthusiasm. Students from different colleges and universities from NCR also participated with great zeal in the event.

Gurugram, April 2018: The Corporate Resource Centre at ASU invited Ms Sujata Sahu, President Awardee - Nari Shakti, who enlightened the 1st and 2nd-year students on 'Social Entrepreneurship'.

Gurugram, April 2018: ‘ओ री चिरैया! O Re Chiraiya’ activity was organised by NSS, ASU, which aimed at sensitizing students about environmental issues. Students arranged water and food grains bowls for birds, particularly sparrows which are at the verge of extinction, thereby ensuring that birds get respite from the hot weather in summers.

Gurugram, March 2018: On the occasion of the 45th Anniversary of the 'Chipko Movement', a plethora of activities was organised by the NSS, ASU. These included activities like ‘Plant a Tree: Take a Selfie’, Poster Competition, oath for protecting the environment, etc. The winners were also rewarded trophies by the Rotoract Club of ASU.

Gurugram, March 27. 2018: A seminar on 'Career Opportunities in Sales & Marketing' for the final year students pursuing BBA & B.Com programmes was organised at Aggarwal College. The Seminar was addressed by Mr. Deepak Halan, Associate Professor in Management, Apeejay Stya University.

Students also had a training session with the MD of KBS Certification services that are into Management Systems Certification, CDM and Climate Change project for carbon reduction – Accredited by UNO for CDM projects and implementation of solar systems.
