Kathmandu, May 31, 2014: Dr. Alok Saklani, Advisor to the School of Management Sciences of the Apeejay Stya University (ASU), took some lectures with the management programme students at the Uniglobe College, academic partners of ASU in South Asia. The lectures were held from May 30-31, 2014, in Kathmandu.
Dr. Saklani also took a training session on the ‘Case Study’ method of teaching with the faculty of the Global Group of Colleges, parent body of Global & Uniglobe College.
New Delhi, May 15, 2014: Apeejay Stya University (ASU) signed a 'General Agreement of Collaboration' with Edith Cowan University (ECU), Australia to collaborate in the fields of Engineering, Mass Communication, Design and Education, among others. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Aditya Berlia, Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University.
ASU and ECU agreed to exchange of undergraduate and graduate students, sharing educational and research materials, publications, academic information, exchange of faculty and research personnel for collaborative research, teaching and academic discussions.
The ECU Delegation consisted of Professor Lynne Cohen, Executive Dean, Faculty of Education and Arts & Pro Vice-Chancellor Engagement (Communities) – Leader and Jim Cross, Associate Professor & Associate Dean, International Faculty of Health, Engineering and Science.
Gurgaon, May 3, 2014: Apeejay Stya University (ASU) organised a National Conference on the 'Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology' which saw participation from various universities, institutions and industries including MNCs like Ericsson, Telmar and Wipro, among others. 56 research papers from various institutions, faculty and students were presented at the conference.
Gurgaon, May 2, 2014: GD Goenka University (GDGU) recently invited undergraduate students to come forward with their ideas in the field of ‘Renewable Energy Generation and/or Waste Management’ in a locality of their choice based on the principles of 3 Rs – reduce, reuse and recycle. An ‘Open Ideas Competition on Green and Clean Environment’ was organised which was a team event with two members per team and comprised two stages – the preliminary round & final round.
One of the finalist teams was from Apeejay Stya University consisting of Siddharth Sudhakar and Mahadevan B Iyer who also won the first prize for presenting the most detailed, practical, sustainable and dynamic idea for a greener city environment.
All the finalists delivered a 10 minute presentation along with the complete blueprint of prototyping it at a sustainable and environment friendly scale. The participating entries were all ground breaking concepts with proper insights on all aspects such as mechanics, dynamics, structure, economy, applicability, etc.
Gurgaon, April 24, 2014: A workshop on 'Mutual Respect: Healthy Relationships' was organised in the University campus by [email protected] It was an interactive and activity-based session for the undergraduate, first year students.
