Gurgaon, December 28, 2012: Prof. Robert H Schneider, Director, Institute of Natural Medicine & Prevention, Iowa, USA, who is also an internationally renowned scientist, delivered a guest lecture at the Centre for Biosciences & Clinical Research, Gurgaon.
Gurgaon, December 28, 2012: Prof. Robert H Schneider Director, Institute of Natural Medicine & Prevention, Lowa, USA delivered seminars on “Heart, Body & Mind and Scientific Researches on the Effects of Transcendental Meditation in Cardiovascular Physiology & Diseases” to UG PG Research students, staff and faculties. The lectures generated a lot of interest and were followed by extensive discussions by UG PG Research students.
Haryana, December 20, 2012: Health Camps, in association with local doctors, were conducted in three villages of Haryana. The camp locations included Gudahana, Hussainka and Bhasunda (November 21, December 12 and December 19). The initiative aims at students gaining some experiential learning through research projects like Health & Educational camps/workshops.
Gurgaon, December 19, 2012: Rotaract Club’s first Event Education Drive cum Christmas Party end of Semester Bash was recently held at the University Campus. The whole programme was a great success and more than 150 people participated in the programme. The event was mainly focussed on spreading awareness and motivating poor children towards education. Children were invited from nearby villages and gifts including bags, books, stationary items, tiffins, water bottles, woolen caps and eatables were distributed among them.
Gurgaon, December 17, 2012: The Nano Lab, located at the City Center of Gurgaon, was inaugurated by Mrs. Sushma Berlia, Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University. A hawan ceremony was performed which was attended by Mrs. Berlia; Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kamal Kant Dwivedi; Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Mr. A.C. Vaid; Dr. Joel Roodney and Sh. C.M. Chhabra from ASG Biochem; Dr. Roop Khar, a renowned academician and ex-Dean of Jamia Hamdard; Dr. Manju Purohit from Walter Bushnell; Dr. Anupama Diwan from School of Pharmaceutical Sciences; among others.
