Introduction
This course deals with office automation and its allied areas. The main aim of this course is to develop relevant skills in candidates related to computer application, office management practices, and office automation techniques.
In simple terms, office automation deals with day-to-day office work/tasks and ways to automate and simplify these tasks. An office consists of different types of professionals. Different types of tasks are carried out in an office each day. Computer work, file management, material management – these are some such important tasks.
Office automation deals with automating and simplifying these tasks through relevant software. For example – office work can be automated and made easier through relevant software such as – MS Excel, Word and Google Docs, etc.
Similarly, data entry work can be carried out through word processing software such as MS Word, Rich Text Editor, or Text Editor. In short, office automation primarily deals with computer applications and software. The main aim of office automation is to simplify and automate workflow in an office. It can help improve the efficiency of workers in an office.
Computer Hardware Fundamentals training deliver the fundamentals of component-level knowledge along with the assembly of computer, troubleshooting, networking, and software installation.
Students will explore the concepts of relational databases like design, implementation, and utilization of database management systems, understanding of the role of the Structured Query Language (SQL).
Web Development training delivers the fundamentals of the front end of web applications using HTML and CSS along with the server-side technologies using PHP and MySQL. Students will explore the concepts of security over the web applications that let them secure their applications from various network attacks. The websites are required to be scaled up in case of high load; in that case, the process of migrating to the cloud for quick scaling up and down is introduced to the students.
Objectives
The students will be able to know the concepts of Office Automation program and its allied areas such as Operating System, basic computer application, components of a computer system, word processing/data entry, relevant software, Tally, MS Office, Internet Technology (ISPs, networks, e-mail), PC hardware, hardware installation, configuration, computer assembling, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This course will also provide the knowledge of networking and software installation, the hierarchy of data, E-R Diagram & Enhance E-R Diagram, database structures, the difference between a database & a database management system, understanding of database concept, understanding of the concept of Relational Algebra, structured query language, and query-by-example, understand the concept of concurrency control, understanding of current Web Technologies & their applications, hands-on practice of various web technologies for front end & back end to create useful applications, to teach students how they can begin a web project to contribute to and improve the aspects of the software that they feel are wrong. Students will also learn about some important web tools & techniques for contributing to projects and how to set up their web applications.
