Three extraordinary students of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS), Apeejay Stya University have made us proud by making it big in National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Joint Entrance Exam (NIPER JEE) 2021. The computer-based examination is held annually for admissions in postgraduate programmes offered in university for pharmacy courses like M.Pharm, MTech (Pharm), MBA (Pharm) and Ph.D. Devangi Sharma was ranked 108th overal, while Bipasha Hati and Kapil Bhardwaj were ranked 580th and 2000th, respectively. The three meritorious students from the 2017-21 batch offer their two cents on how to ace the entrance exam successfully.
Explore beyond horizons to extend your knowledge: Devangi Sharma
I'd want to offer my heartfelt appreciation to the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The teachers led me through thick and thin, elucidating each idea. Without their relentless support and motivation, nothing would have been possible. I stayed in the Girls Hostel on the Apeejay Stya University campus, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Even beyond college hours, we had access to the library materials. Besides academics, I was involved in a variety of leisure activities. My recommendation to first-year students is to seek beyond academics to broaden their knowledge. Make reading journals a habit. Take your studies even more carefully in the third and fourth years since the courses get more sophisticated and difficult. Practicing the previous year’s question paper will give you speed, accuracy and a fair idea about the structure of question papers being set for examinations in the pharmacy university.
Future plans: I have completed the application processof Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi for M.Pharm and secured admission in the most prestigious university for m pharm course. I can’t wait to paint the future with vibrant colours soon.
Priority should be given to fundamental subjects: Bipasha Hati
To qualify for NIPER-JEE, candidates must first ace the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT). Initially, the emphasis should be on clearing GPAT. It is not advisable to plan too far ahead. Focusing on fundamental areas such as pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, organic chemistry, and medicinal chemistry is the ideal technique to accomplish the GPAT. I began studying for the GPAT in third year, although I completed all of my topics in the first and second years. Don't laze around until you've completed GPAT. Continue to study with the same zeal for NIPER-JEE. Remember that the most crucial factor in achieving success is hard work and dedication. It's also crucial to stay up to date on current affairs and improve logical reasoning. Future plans: I am giving it a thought topursue M.Pharm or MBA (Pharmaceutical) from a reputed m pharmacy university.
Every subject's fundamental principles must be clearly understood: Kapil Bhardwaj
To ace the NIPER-JEE, students must first understand the foundations of each topic. Due to the negative marking in NIPER-JEE, you must also be careful to attempt only those answers you are certain of. Candidates should create a customized study plan based on their ability, and they should revise on a frequent basis to achieve better marks. Finally, don't be discouraged by the critics. For example, I was advised by some people with minimal knowledge of pharmacy that a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree would not get me into a renowned b pharmacy university. Don't listen to such folks.Own your dreams and fly high with wings spread apart.
Future plans: I am thinking of pursuing Masters from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology and after that I will probably look for a decent job in a pharma company.
” A tree is known by the fruit it bears. The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences is well-known for producing the best brains in the pharma industry. Every year, our students do brilliantly well in various admission tests such as the GPAT and the NIPER JEE. They are the pioneers of tomorrow.”
