New Delhi, March 2, 2013: Students and faculty from the School of Biosciences of Apeejay Stya University participated in a two-day National Seminar on 'Proteomics for Biomarkers in Diseases' organised by the UGC SAP Dept. of Biotechnology, Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi. These topics constitute a part of the syllabus in all Biosciences courses.
Proteomics, direct analysis of proteins present in the cells and tissues of our body, is a novel approach in biology. It opens up an exciting new way for discovering biomarkers that can be used to diagnose, predict susceptibility, and monitor progression of diseases.
