New Delhi, November 8, 2013:
Apeejay Stya University (ASU) launched a unique Incubation Centre at the 3rd AICTE-CII Global University-Industry Congress 2013 in the presence of Shri Jaipal Reddy, Honorable Union Minister for Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Prominent dignitaries present at the occasion included Dr. T. Ramasami, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology; Prof. TK Chandrashekar, Secretary, Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB); Mr. Naushad Forbes, Forbes; Mr. Deep Kapuria, Chairman, CII National MSME Council and Mr. Venkatesh Valluri, Chairman & President of Ingersoll Rand, India, among many others.
Launched in collaboration with the CII, one of the key thrust areas for this incubation centre will be to help the economically weaker and physically disabled individuals to achieve their full potential. Dr. N. Subramanian, a leading Urologist and Sr. Consultant at Apollo Hospital, who is also actively involved in helping physically disabled to achieve mobility and functioning, has agreed to support the cause. The Incubation Centre is supported by the NEN (National Entrepreneurship Network) and TiE (a non-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals). ASU has engaged with the CII and the Industry for supporting various endeavours under the Incubation Centre.
