Visit to Radio Mewat

Gurugram, Sep. 16, 2017: Students from School of Journalism & Mass Communication along with faculty went to visit a community radio called Radio Mewat. The radio team briefed the students about the different projects and programs which they host. Later the students went on a subject visit to Mewat and a nearby village named Oontka which is located within the district of Nuh. Students observed that facilities were hardly available to the villagers and children in the village are not provided with basic and proper facilities to complete their education. Basic necessities are unavailable to the villagers, especially facilities like healthcare, sanitation, clean water, etc. At the end, they had a session with RJ Shakid of Radio Mewat.

Gurugram, Sep. 8, 2017: Youth Ki Awaaz conducted a Voter Awareness Workshop at ASU. It was an interactive session with games to sensitise the youth about their voting rights. School of Journalism & Mass Communication, ASU is proud to be associated with #JetSetVote Youth Ki Awaaz.

ApeejayStya University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NDTVWorldwide to explore mutual synergies in the field of media andjournalism studies on May 31, 2017. Asa part of this collaboration, NDTV’s senior journalists,producers and anchors will conduct a series of workshops for thestudents of School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC),Apeejay Stya University, on subjects ranging from Reporting,Anchoring to Live News Transmissions from NDTV’s NewsProduction Centre in New Delhi. Students will also get an opportunityto do their internship and attend studio shows at NDTV.
