GLUTONEE: Food Club of SJMC organises a Food Fest

Gurugram, Oct. 2017: The School of Journalism & Mass Communication (SJMC), ASU believes that a family which eats together stays together. Keeping this in mind, the food club of SJMC- GLUTONEE organised a pot-luck where students and teachers cooked their specialties.

There was a wide selection of dishes from starters to main course to desserts, one was spoilt for choices!

Visit to BBC Office

New Delhi, Nov. 16, 2017: ASU’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication students visited the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), New Delhi office on November 16, 2017. Having numerous questions, expectations, and curiosity in their minds, all the budding journalists met senior journalists of different departments and cleared their doubts. They also got to see a rehearsal before the final show went on air. It was good to know that BBC has started a five language (Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Punjabi, and Gujarati) service under one roof.

Visit to Jantar Mantar

New Delhi, Nov. 17, 2017: ASU’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication students visited Jantar Mantar or Protest Street as was known till sometime back, with the aim of gathering first-hand unbiased opinions of the public on the National Green Tribunal’s order of banning street protests at Jantar Mantar. This was done as a part of their Development Communication class supervised by Dr Abhay Chawla. The objective was to understand how people from various walks of life understand protests, a very important part of our democracy.
