Gurugram, Jan. 29, 2018: The School of Journalism and Mass Communication, ASU, organised a workshop on 'Visual Storytelling Techniques' by Prof. Phil Peters, School of Design and Visual Arts, University of Central Florida. Students pursuing Mass Communication and Design learnt about the importance of intricate details of set designs and character appearances in film-making. Prof. Peters has over 20 years of experience in this field and has even won an Emmy Award for his series – Northern Exposure. A Workshop from a seasoned professional like him was exciting for the students. The interactive session hooked the curious young minds to understand the role of a production designer and how to go about their careers.

ASU students reach finals of Digital Masala Challenge

Jammu, Oct. 2017: Team Apeejayites comprising the students of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, ASU – Pushpita Dey, Sravya MG and Sourav Bhakat – got selected for the final round of the Digital Masala Challenge 2017.

The two-day hackathon aimed at brainstorming for ideas to counter violent extremism (online) using internet as a weapon. The participants were asked to come up with any technical or non-technical solutions to this problem by creating an app, launching a social media campaign or a video.

'We Care' Film Festival

New Delhi, Oct. 10, 2017: Students of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication attended the 'We Care' film festival at the Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Dwarka. The festival aimed at the screening of films based on the sensitive public issue of disability.
