With 40 years in broadcasting, Dr. Sreedher has done it all. Till recently, as the Director of Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA), he has been working with Electronic media from 1972 onwards in various capacities.
Dr. Sreedher was the Director of Electronic Media Production Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University from 1998-2003 and headed two Educational Multimedia Research centres of the UGC at Anna University Chennai and IIT Roorkee from 2003-2006.
Recognised as a pioneer in the field of Community Radio Stations in India, technology buff, Dr. Sreedher is now focusing on various internet radio platforms (www.iradioindia.com ) such as one for the National institute of open schooling and Yashwant Rao Chavan open university and Radio Styavani for the SJMC, Apeejay Stya University.
He was involved in launching the Gyan Darshan group of TV channels, including Vyas ( the higher education channel of UGC) and Eklavya ( the TV channel of the Indian Institute of Technology). He also created Gyan Vani Educational FM Channels for IGNOU.
Dr. R. Sreedher is a sought after expert at various national and international conferences.
