Gurgaon, Oct. 4, 2016: Students of Apeejay Stay University (ASU) paid tribute to the beloved Founder Chancellor of ASU, Dr. Stya Paul. To mark the 97th birth anniversary of the Founder Chancellor, students of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, ASU, organised a poets’ meet, Mushaira wherein students recited the kalaam (poetry) of some very renowned poets of Urdu and Hindi, among other things.

On 1st October,2016, Senior Citizen’s Day was celebrated by District Service Authority (DLSA), Gurgaon at Faruk Nagar, Gurgaon. Participants were given free legal Education by Hon’ble CJM Cum Secretary DLSA Shree Abhishek Phutela and Panel Advocates.

It was a proud moment for students of School of Legal Studies (SLS), Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Sohna Palwal Road, Gurgaon to be the part of celebration as they also assisted in providing Free Legal Education on Rights of Senior Citizens. ASU Students performed a Nukkad Natak to highlight the major issues related to violation of Rights of Senior Citizens. Students were congratulated for their best way of imparting message into society.

Indian Law Institute, Delhi organized workshop on Sex and Death in Criminal Law from 26 September 2016 to 1 Oct 2016. The workshop was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Deepak Misra, Judge Supreme Court of India.

It was proud moment for Students of School of Legal Studies, Appejay Stya University, to be the part of Work shop and presenting their research paper.

Gurgaon & New Delhi, Aug. 22, 2017: Apeejay Stya University (ASU) organised a four-day Student Orientation Programme for the new students who ushered in the new academic year 2016-17, amid an environment of learning and fun. The event, held from August 17, 2016, witnessed many dignitaries as they inspired the students to embark on this new journey with Apeejay Stya University.

Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Co-Founder & Chancellor, ASU, in her address to the newly admitted students, stressed on the 21st Century skills which are emphasised upon at the Apeejay Stya University. She also highlighted domain knowledge, critical thinking, sociability, creativity & innovation as the foundation stones of a career-oriented student. Among other things, Mrs. Berlia shared that dreaming is one of the most important factors for success. It is equally important to have the determination to turn those dreams into reality.

Mr. Aditya Berlia, Pro-Chancellor, ASU interacted with the students wherein he used the question & answer technique as a remarkable way to make them understand the philosophy being followed at ASU. Mr. Berlia focused on innovation, design and entrepreneurship.

A panel discussion with reputed academicians & industrialists on the theme ‘Achieving Educational Excellence through Developing Industry Relevant Talent’ was also moderated by Mr. Aditya Berlia. All panelists focused on interpersonal skills and humanitarian values more than anything else.

Other luminaries present on the occasion included Dr. S.K. Salwan, Vice-Chancellor, ASU; the Guest of Honour, Mr. Sudhir Mishra, CEO & MD of BrahMos Aerospace Ltd., an Indo-Russia Joint Venture company, among others.

Other events which comprised the Orientation Programme included students’ registration, parent-faculty interaction, various presentations and other literary & cultural activities. The four-day Orientation Programme brought a new wave of enthusiasm among the new students.
